About the Artist

I was raised on a farm in the Clifton area of my native Washington DC. I paint mainly in my home studios, which are filled with music, mostly jazz and Spanish guitar.  I am a past president of the McLean Rotary Club where I provided a collection of greeting cards and textile art to the Rotary Club District 7610.  The net proceeds from their sale help to fund humanitarian projects through the MicheLo Project in Swaziland.  I am a current member of the Rotary Club of Washington, DC, the Arts Club of Washington DC, and the Arizona Artists Guild.

I am an artist based in Washington DC and Scottsdale AZ.  My paintings are for sale on my website, and I take commissions. I use a lot of color.  I enjoy painting portraits of people and animals and give them life. I also paint from photos, so if you have  a special scene,  person or pet, I would love to turn it into a work of fine art, either in oil, acrylic, charcoal, or watercolor. Specific works are also available in giclee prints upon request.
